As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Repeat Line Closure

The repeat line is closed. Verbal requests will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.  Please speak to a member of the Dispensary team for further information and to request details on setting up access to repeat prescriptions online.  You can also use the Patient Access App or NHS App on your mobile for easy access to repeat prescriptions.  For assistance in setting this up please speak to a member of the dispensary or email

Extended GP Appointments Service

Appointments are available between 6pm to 8pm weekday evenings and 8.00am to 8.00pm on weekends and bank holidays at GP Practices in Ross, Hereford and Leominster.  Appointments will need to be booked in advance through Much Birch reception or ring 111.

Ear Syringing at the surgery:

Ear syringing is no longer the recommended treatment to clear blocked ears and the surgery will no longer be able to provide this service.  If your ears are blocked please apply 2 to 3 drops of olive oil 2 to 3 times a day for 3 weeks. If the problem persists please contact the surgery for advice.

Message in a Bottle scheme from The Lions:

The Lions have provided the surgery with bottles to be used to contain important information which may be useful to the emergency services. The idea is that you complete the form with essential information such as medication, next of kin contact details etc. This is then stored in your fridge. There is a small sticker which you then stick on or next to your front door to alert the emergency services to the fact that you have a ‘message in a bottle’. The bottles can be collected from the surgery for a suggested donation to the Lions of 25p. Please ask at reception if you would like a bottle.
